WHO WE ARE?

 

Established in March 1993 (Rector Order 400/26.03.1993), Centre for Environmental Research and Assessment is a research-development department within the structure of the University of Bucharest. Our acronim CCMESI, come from Romanian title of Centre: Centrul de Cercetare a Mediului si Efectuare a Studiilor de Impact.

 

The Centre is mainly active in research issues related to environmental research and protection.

 

A large number of university academic staff, Ph.D. students, M. Sc. students, students (from the Faculties of Geography, Chemistry, Geology and Biology), researchers from different research institutes are involved in the centre's activities.

 

We are officially recoqnised by National Council for Research and by Ministry for Environment and Sustainable Development (EIA, SEA auditor).

 

The Centre where establish by Professor Valer Trufas and Professor Maria Patroescu. Today the Centre is lead by Proffesor Maria Patroescu.
